Housework with Toddlers
Ready to start getting your child to help around the house? Now is just the time to take advantage of their desire to imitate you. They may slow things down at first (don't be surprised if the housework takes at least twice as long with them 'helping'), but in the long run, their participation will pay off in so many ways. For one thing, they'll feel proud to be a part of the family's responsibilities.
At this age, your child should be able to help you:
dust
water plants
put washing in piles
hold a dustpan
Just don't expect them to work alone — they'll need you there every step of the way.
